CT Man Pretends to be Member of One Direction to Lure Underage Girls Online

by on October 7, 2013

45-year-old John Eastman was living with his mother in Waterbury, CT while he was luring underage girls on the Internet by pretending to be a member of One Direction, a European pop group with millions of teenage fans.

Reportedly, Eastman would bribe young girls—primarily ages 13-15—with free concert tickets if they performed online sex acts or took nude pictures. After he was arrested in May, officers say they found hundreds of images of underage girls, including one as young as five, on Eastman’s computer.

Many human traffickers stalk and solicit young girls, including many under the age of 18, on social media sites and online chat rooms. It is illegal to solicit anyone for prostitution in any situation in AZ.
